Kitchen renovation in Barcelona
5,000–8,800€VAT included €4,132–7,273 + 21% VAT
A kitchen showroom sells you units and subcontracts the building work. This is the whole job, with the price stated and the exclusions said out loud.
Why that figure is worth believing
-
The price, before you call
The figure above is ours and it is published. Almost nobody in this trade publishes one.
-
One builder, not five
Your details go to Andranik Hasratyan and nobody else. Half of Barcelona will not ring you.
-
His own work, photographed
The photographs below are flats he finished, each one with what it actually cost.
-
Barcelona and 85 towns
If your postcode falls outside we tell you in the form, not after the visit.
We call back within 5 minutes (business hours)
- 5 minutes is how long we take to call you back, in business hours
- 4 to 6 weeks on site for a standard kitchen
- Not a furniture showroom: the full building job

A complete kitchen of 6 to 10 m². Building work, mid-range units, worktop, basic-line appliances and labour. Without moving the services. The firm price is set by the builder in writing after the visit.
What pushes it up
- Taking down the wall to open the kitchen onto the living room
- Moving the sink or the gas and water points
- Natural stone or large-format porcelain worktop
- High-end or fully integrated appliances
- An extractor needing a new duct to the facade or lightwell
What brings it down
- Keeping the layout and services where they are
- Standard-size units rather than made to measure
- Laminate or standard-thickness compact worktop
- Keeping the appliances you already have
What is included
- Strip-out and removal of rubble to a licensed tip
- New plumbing and electrics inside the kitchen
- Wall and floor tiling
- Mid-range wall and base units, fitted
- Worktop, sink and tap
- Basic-line appliances: hob, oven, extractor
- Paint and final clean
What is not included
This is the part quotes usually leave out. We would rather say it first.
- The permit, if your town hall requires one
- €150 to €400 depending on the municipality. If a wall comes down, some town halls reclassify it from a notification to a full licence.
- The gas certificate
- If the gas installation is touched, a certificate from a registered fitter is required. The builder arranges it and invoices at cost.
- High-end appliances
- The quote is adjusted to the real price of the appliance and you see the supplier invoice.
- Whatever appears once the wall is open
- Old services, damp, partitions that turn out to be load-bearing. Quoted separately and shown to you first.
Kitchens by the builder we work with
Barcelona
Kitchen under a Catalan vault
The brick vault is left exposed and the wiring runs on the surface, on a black track. Low wood units and a continuous pale worktop.
8,030€ VAT included 6 weeks
Badalona
Kitchen opened onto the living room, with a peninsula
The kitchen opens to the living room through a black-framed glazed partition. The peninsula doubles as a bar and the appliances are built into the tall run.
8,800€ VAT included 6 weeks
Barcelona
Narrow kitchen, single-run layout
A dark worktop over white units, with the oven and microwave stacked in a column so no work surface is lost. Nothing moves position: this is the cheapest case.
5,000€ VAT included 4 weeks
How it works
- 1
You leave your number
The number, what you want renovated, and your postcode. Nothing else.
- 2
We call within 5 minutes
A three-minute conversation in English: what you want done, rough measurements, the state it is in, and when suits you. You get a realistic range before anyone visits your home.
- 3
Visit and a fixed written quote
The builder comes, measures, and you get a fixed price in writing. If it does not work for you, that is fine and we do not call again.
Where we work
Barcelona and the 85 municipalities within 30 km. 68% of the housing in this area was built before 1981, which is exactly the stock that needs work.
Questions we are always asked
Why are you cheaper than a kitchen showroom?
Because a showroom sells units and subcontracts the building work, so you pay that margin twice. The builder does the work and buys the units directly. In Barcelona a mid-range kitchen with made-to-measure units is advertised at €8,500 to €14,000.
How long does a kitchen take?
Four to six weeks on site. Units usually have a three or four week lead time from the factory, so they are ordered before work starts and the rest of the job is sequenced around that delivery date.
Can I cook during the work?
No. Plan for four to six weeks without a kitchen. We talk it through on the call so the dates land where they cause you least trouble.
Can you open the kitchen onto the living room?
Usually, but whether the partition is load-bearing has to be checked before anyone promises it. If it is, you need an engineer and a steel, and that changes the price. We check it on the visit.
Are appliances included?
A basic-line hob, oven and extractor, yes. Fridge and dishwasher are separate, because almost everyone already has their own.
